Landscapes

My main inspiration comes from the fabulous scenery throughout the west coast of Scotland, especially the Clyde Coast, Argyll, Bute and the Mull of Kintyre. The varied landscape around the Crinan canal is a particular favourite. Rivers and lochs surrounded by vibrant foliage are a common feature of my work.

Producing artwork and props for local theatre productions has also given me access to opportunities for ‘behind the scenes’ themes, with strong contrasts in light and shade.

I enjoy portraiture, still life and landscape in equal measure and am always happy to take commissions.
