What a busy few weeks in the club! We have several new members, so welcome to them! The Monday classes are proving popular and the work that has been produced is terrific.

There have been two outings and a film show. Phew! The Life class had a great day out at the Victoria Crowe exhibition in Edinburgh’s City Art Gallery. Gus organised a film showing the work of Hazel Soan which inspired us all and we took the sun with us to Pittenweem for the Arts Festival.

Our Annual Exhibition is imminent. Get your work ready! The show will run from the 31st August until the 15th September. The first two days coincide with Inverclyde Doors Open Day so we may have quite a few visitors. All details are on the noticeboard.

Gavin Weir will be giving us a talk and demonstration on the 2nd of October. Gavin is an accomplished painter specialising in city scenes, figure studies and nature. www.gavinweir.com.
